Westmore Middle School is a middle school located in Plainview that was founded in the year 1926.[1] It features prominently throughout the live-action and animated film adaptations of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, and is the film counterpart of Larry Mack Junior Middle School.
The school motto is "Respect, honor, dignity", and its mascot is a hornet. It is attended by at least two hundred students, including Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson, among others.[2]

History
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010 film)
Just like the book, the first film is hugely based on the yearbook, as Greg is new to middle school and most of the popular people have titles in the yearbook. He then learns about the popularity list and the most popular children has the lowest number on the list. Greg and Rowley try to make a comic, Rowley comes with Zoo-Wee-Mama, but Greg dislikes his idea and leaves. Rowley's popularity increases after Zoo-Wee-Mama gets published in the school paper and his rank in the list rises and he even got his name as the "Class Clown" in the book. But Greg and Rowley still got the "Cutest friends" title.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011 film)
In the second film, Greg has a crush on Holly Hills and tries to impress her. But things do not go well for Greg as because when the teacher finds out that Greg is related to Rodrick, he calls Greg and tells him to sit at the front even though he wanted to sit on the seat beside Holly which was occupied by Patty Farrell.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (film)
The school's yearbook is seen in the third movie, with Greg's yearbook portrait being his second-grade photo, which is also seen in his Grandpa's room at Leisure Village.
Also, in the last day of 7th grade, Greg tries to get his yearbook signed by Holly and also tells her to write her phone number in the yearbook. But when she has almost completed writing the phone number, some people call her and thus, Greg ends up with half of Holly's phone number.
Online
You can simply see a yearbook at the end of the book, titled, "Steppin' Out".

Trivia

The front page of the school yearbook
- On the neighborhood map on wimpykidclub.co.uk, the school is located near Holly's house on Pleasant Street, meaning it may be located on that street. It is also shown in Diary of a Wimpy Kid Do-It-Yourself Book.
- The school's age is revealed in the Dog Days film, where the roman numerals "MCMXXVI" are shown on the front page of the yearbook.
- Westmore Middle School could possibly be a feeder school to Crossland High School, though this has not been confirmed.
- Scenes in the live-action movies were shot at three separate locations: Shaughnessy Elementary School, Van Tech Secondary School, and Templeton Secondary School, all located in Vancouver, Canada. The films used Shaughnessy for exterior shots, Van Tech for the gym, and Templeton for all classrooms and interiors.
- It was revealed in No Brainer that the school Greg Heffley attends is Larry Mack Junior Middle School, meaning that the school is only called Westmore Middle School in the movie adaptations.
