The Middle of It All, also known as Stuck in The Middle is the first song in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Musical that occurs directly after the Overture. It later has 3 reprises, and its used in various cues and short songs throughout the musical.

It is about how Greg feels his younger and older brother make his life miserable, being the middle child, and how he is confident that in Middle School things will get better for him.

The first reprise occurs after The Cheese Touch song, and it is about how although his first day isn't going as well as he expected, he will not give up hope yet. It also serves as the introduction for Rowley, who after uttering his infamous "Wanna come over and play?" quote, causes Greg to be mocked by his peers, devolving the song into negativity.

The second reprise occurs after Rowley humiliates Greg at the Winter Talent Show, and it is about how he can feel his popularity ranking drop, and how he must get rid of Rowley. This reprise is not featured in the Studio Cast Recording.

The third and final reprise occurs directly after The Fight, and also serves as the final song in the musical. and it is about Greg taking the fall for Rowley after the teenagers made him eat the cheese, and how his popularity ranking has dropped to Fregley's level. Eventually the whole cast joins in, and sing about how great it is have to a best friend with you in "The Middle of It All".
