ShadowDoom is a medieval-themed fictional chapter book which is the ninth volume of the Magick and Monsters: Dark Realms series and a book series that Greg Heffley likes to read in Dog Days.

Due to its length and lack of pictures, Greg enthusiastically shares this book at the Reading Is Fun Club, but it was disapproved by his mother, Susan Heffley, who deemed the book cover as offensive to women, because of the illustration's suggestiveness. Greg later comments that the book cover had nothing to do with the story, as there were no women in the book at all.[1]

In the online book, Greg pulls out Shadowdoom for enrichment during a car ride to Gary Heffley's wedding. However, he was quickly confiscated by Ann due to its cover. Greg claims the most offensive part in the book was when Uldroch got swarmed by black flies when attempting to use the bathroom in the woods.[2]
