Seth Snella (known as Seth Smedley in the online book) is a member of the Snellas, a family that formerly lived up the street from Greg Heffley. Greg and his father attend Seth's half-birthday party during The Last Straw.

The Last Straw[]
At dinner one day, Susan Heffley tells Frank that he has to go to Seth's half-birth day party in June, as he has avoided every single one that came before it. When Frank comes home from work one day and encounters the Snellas walking with Seth in a stroller, he goes to bed early because he is depressed about the situation.
At Seth's half-birthday party, the adults in the neighborhood try to make Seth laugh by making a fool of themselves, per usual. Frank avoids having to go in front of him when Greg gets stuck trying to climb a tree and yells for help, drawing everyone's attention.
Seth presumably moved away along with the rest of his family the summer before the events of The Ugly Truth.
Online book[]
In the online book, Mr. Jordan splits his pants while doing jumping jacks in front of Seth who is portrayed as a toddler rather than a newborn.[2]
