Santa Claus, also known as Father Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Saint Nick, Kris Kringle, or simply Santa is a legendary character from Christian culture who is said to bring children gifts or coal on Christmas Eve, depending on whether they are "naughty or nice". He resides at the North Pole, where he makes his toys with the aid of Christmas elves in his workshop and delivers them using flying reindeer which pull his sleigh.
Santa is mentioned throughout the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, playing a big role as the White Warlock and the younger brother of the One-Eyed Wizard in Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Adventure.

The Ugly Truth[]
TBA
Cabin Fever[]
Santa makes his first major appearance when Greg Heffley talks about how Santa can see every kid but probably can only watch each kid for one second and that Santa probably watches Greg at the wrong moment (like picking his nose). Greg also mentions how his lists might be inaccurate because Jared Pyle, a bad kid, got a dirt bike for Christmas.

Santa envisioned as the White Warlock
In this book, he was undercover as the White Warlock and throughout most of the book it was said he wanted to marry Roland's mother and make her his queen while casting the land in eternal winter though, this was all a set up by the One-Eyed Wizard so he could break into the Ice Fortress where Santa resides during the summer to get revenge on his brother. [3]

Santa, getting Christmas as his holiday
This was because Santa got to pick his holiday first with a holiday that was well-known while the One-Eyed Wizard was stuck with Flag Day, a holiday nobody cares about. [4]
During the final battle, Santa Claus crucially holds up against the Wizard just in time for one of his best gift maker, Shae'Vana, to reinforce him.[5]

Santa going against the One-Eyed Wizard
However the One-Eyed Wizard got ahold of Santa's staff and begins to blast them however he misses and allows the rest of Roland's group to join in the battle.
Eventually, the One-Eyed Wizard lost thanks to Roland stabbing him and turning him into a good guy. Santa gave a present to everyone and pranks Roland that he already had the greatest gift then grants him the title: Roland the Kind. He then gives Roland, Garg the Barbarian, and Roland's mother a ride home.[6]

Santa is seen on the front cover of the Sears Wish Book. [7]

During Christmas, a subplot involves Greg pretending to believe in Santa for the sake of receiving extra gifts which resulted from the time Rodrick Heffley told their parents that he doesn't believe in Santa causing him to receive less presents on Christmas. Because of this, Greg plays along when Ann and Frank tells Manny Heffley that they see Santa's sleight coming to their house. Greg mentions that his parents has given him numerous “Santa Talks” but he was always able to find a way to continue the illusion. However later that night, Greg sees Ann and Frank wrapping presents in the open as he passes by to grab milk. Greg suspects that they purposely let themself get caught.[8]
At Grandpa Heffley's house, there is a wind-up Santa toy that plays “Jingle Bells” which is the only source of entertainment for Greg when staying over until he broke it.[9]
Trivia[]
- When he was referred to as "The White Warlock", it may be a parody for the White Witch in The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, Given that Warlock is the name for a male witch, and he made endless winter, which The White Witch also did.
