Ricky Fisher is a troublemaker at Greg's school who is known for picking off gum off the bottom of desks and chewing it for fifty cents. He first appears in Diary of a Wimpy Kid before returning years later in No Brainer. He has a coat with a bunch of pockets on the interior and uses it to create his own mini-shop at certain points throughout the book.

History[]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]

At the beginning of Independent Study, Greg does not believe he will get a good final grade, due to the fact that Ricky is in the class however, he would later disprove that and becomes a valuable contributor. When his group compiles a list of words a robot shouldn't be able to say, he adds twenty swear words no one else has even heard of before.[1] The list leads to their downfall when their teacher comes back at the end of class and reads over the list of swears and as a result, Independent Study was cancelled for boys.

No Brainer[]

When Fudgedogs were just invented, Ricky made a profit from vending them at a higher fee.[2] Later, Ricky exploits the new rule that capped out the amount of supplies students were permitted to use by vending supplies from his mom's local office supply.[3]

Greg mentions that Ricky rummages the bleachers for leftover snacks and then vends them because students actually purchase it.[4] Later at the live auction, Ricky wins the prize of riding a police car to school for the second time in a row.[5]Greg thinks Ricky will be arrested one day and sees this as good practice for him.

Just before the final exam, Ricky exploits the situation and vends trinkets that he claims will boost your maths results by 20 points.[6]
