Philippe is an imaginary character who appears in Rodrick Rules. He shows up when Greg Heffley discusses potential pen pals.
After Madame Lefrere makes Greg redo his pen pal form so that he'll be paired with a French boy his age, Greg says that he doesn't exactly have high hopes for his pen pal experience, as he expects to be paired with someone like Philippe.[1]
In the online book, Greg fills out Rowley Jefferson's form to ensure that he'll get a pen pal like Philippe out of spite for taking the first shift of their Safety Patrol duty.[2]
