Mrs. Gonzales (unnamed in the online book) was Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson's fifth grade Spanish teacher. She appears in Rodrick Rules.
Greg and Rowley were partnered for a project in Mrs. Gonzales's class where they had to do a skit in front of the whole class in Spanish. During the skit, Rowley asked Greg what he would do for a candy bar, to which he replied that he would stand on his head. However, when Greg tried to do a handstand, he tipped over and his rear end went through the wall. The school never bothered to fix the hole, which remained in Mrs. Gonzales's room for the rest of Greg's time in elementary school.
When Rowley starts spending time with a group of girls during lunch, Greg worries that he is spreading this story around.
In the online book, she plays an identical role, except for the fact that she is unnamed and her hair is white.
Trivia[]
- Due to her name, she is probably of hispanic descent.
- She might also be the mother of Manuel Gonzales as she has a striking resemblance to him and they both have the same last name.
