Mrs. Fregley is the mother of Fregley. In the movie it is mentioned that she makes unusual clothing for Fregley out of old clothes. For example, a shirt made out of old pajamas.

On Wimpy Boardwalk, she appears in the Fun House. After Rowley goes down the slide, he knocks away some balls in the ball pit, uncovering Fregley. Fregley's mother thanks him and gives him Fregley's leftover fish sticks.

History[]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]

Fregley's mother first appears when Greg Heffley arrives at her house, planning to have a sleepover with her son in order to make Rowley jealous. She tells Greg that she was pleased to see Fregley with a playmate which further displeases Greg.[1]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010 film)[]

In a deleted scene titled 'Greg Meets Fregley's Mom' (as confirmed on the DVD's special features menu) she asks Greg if he wants her to sew some pants for him. [2]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2021 film)[]

Her shadow was briefly shown when she asked Greg if he wanted her to mitten some socks.

Online[]

It's mentioned that Fregly's mom has been homeschooling Fregly after first grade. Greg says she needs to keep Fregly inside during school hours.[3]

While Fregly is homeschooled, she still brings him to school assemblies and parties so he can socialize which includes the Valentine's Dance.[4] She has largely the same role in the online version but when Greg faints in the bathroom, he wakes up and finds himself in Fregley's bed. Greg assumes that Fregley's mother found Greg and thought that he was sleeping so she moved him to Fregley's room.

Trivia[]

  • Although she appears briefly in the Mother & Son Sweetheart Dance, she originally had a slightly larger role in the film, where Fregley introduced Greg to her where she explains that he never had friends before and where it shows that she works as a seamstress. The scenes were cut from the film but were included in the film's deleted scenes. This is also mentioned in the Movie Diary.
