On the way back home from school Rowley really had the urge to go to the bathroom and after getting declined by many random strangers to go to theirs he got desperate and used the big rock in Mr. Yee's front yard.

In the chapter 'Another time Greg got mad at me', when Greg was chasing Rowley with a slug, he got away quick and climbed onto the big rock in Mr. Yee's front yard.
