Mr. McGlurk is the father of Danny McGlurk who appears in Double Down.
Mr. McGlurk called for the Spineticklers books series to be banned at a PTA meeting believing that they promoted witchcraft. He claimed that he'd caught his son, Danny, dabbling in the dark arts in his garage and blames it on the Spineticklers books. However, Greg Heffley believes that Danny was just practicing magic tricks for the fall talent show.[1]
