Greg Heffley, wouldn't you be related to Rodrick Heffley?
Mr. Draybick to Greg

Mr. Draybick is Greg Heffley's Social Studies teacher who appears in the film adaptations of Rodrick Rules and Dog Days. He is the counterpart of Mr. Huff in the movie and is played by John Shaw.

Mr. Draybick warning Greg

He first appears when he comes in and sees Patty Farrell and Greg Heffley fighting over a seat that's located to the left where Holly Hills is seated. He stops them and asks them their names but after Greg tells him his last name, Mr. Huff concludes that Greg is related to Rodrick Heffley who must've caused him trouble when Mr. Draybick had as he orders Greg to sit in front of his desk so he could an eye on him. [1]

Later he assigns a project about events that happened a hundred years ago, the same project he assigned to Rodrick. [2] When Greg unknowingly turns in Rodrick's old poem, he scolds and humiliates Greg by making him read the poem in front of his classmates after he congratulated Holly's slideshow presentation. [3] When Patty snitched on Greg for passing notes, Mr. Draybick reads it out loud then makes Greg sit next to his desk.[4]

On the last day of school Mr. Draybick makes everyone take out their textbooks and was not surprised that Greg was the only one who didn't bring one. Fregley asks Mr. Draybick if he could share his textbook with Greg which Draybick agrees seeing the uncomfortable expression on Greg's face. Towards the end he gives the class free time rest of the period.[5]
