Mortie's is a clothing store that played a role in Greg Heffley's summer during Dog Days. Its name can be seen on its Back To School Blowout Sale.
On a Tuesday Greg flipped through the comics and saw a two-page back-to-school ad from Mortie's which put him in a really bad mood because school was still two months away. Greg says the next thing he knows Susan Heffley is going to take him there all-day long so he asked her if Frank Heffley could take him shopping instead. Susan said yes because she sees it as a father-son bonding opportunity but Greg told Frank he could go without him and pick whatever he wants but regrets it after Frank did all his shopping at the pharmacy.[1]
