Uncle Lawrence is Greg Heffley's uncle and a member of the Heffley family who appears in The Ugly Truth and the online book.
Greg says that he always travels and never comes to family gatherings, though he sometimes makes virtual appearances by webcam, like at Chester Heffley's funeral.[1]
