The Heffley family's basketball hoop is a basketball hoop that Susan Heffley bought that stands above the garage. It appears in Big Shot.[1]
Susan buys the hoop for Greg, hoping that he uses it on days where he doesn't have practice. However, Greg never had used the hoop as the teens all over Greg's neighborhood started using it since the school took down the outdoor hoops. This caused Greg to have trouble falling asleep as the teens kept on playing during the night. Susan tried to get them to go home by turning off the lights above the garage, but the teens brought in a generator to produce light. After a while, Frank Heffley had enough and called the cops but they joined in with the teenagers. Greg states that when there's nobody outside, they're going to take it down.
The Heffley's possibly took it down after the ending of Greg's basketball career or at some point in between.
