History[]

Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]

The grocery store was first mentioned when Susan Heffley went outside to go to the grocery store when Greg and Rowley were trying to break the record for the "world's biggest snowman". Susan pushed their snowball out of the way of her car.

Dog Days[]

Greg explains he is afraid of seeing librarians in public due to not returning How to Make Sock Puppets, a book that he borrowed a long time ago. He illustrates Susan encountering Pat at the grocery store as an example.[1] He later ran into the Jefferson family there.

Cabin Fever[]

Drummes

After Greg comes up with an idea for his own Holiday Bazaar and seeing how much cheaper than they are at the Holiday Bazaar, he decides to buy all the Drummies there in order to stock up for his store.

The Third Wheel[]

While talking about Manny's imaginary friends, Greg mentions that one time Manny took his imaginary friends to the grocery store and had a tantrum because Susan supposedly left Charles Tribble behind the frozen food aisle. Later in the book, it was also mentioned that Frank brought some chocolate from the grocery store for the Valentine's Day Dance.

Old School[]

The grocery store makes a cameo on page 4 where Susan is trying to get signatures for her petition.

Double Down[]

While on the subject of Halloween, Greg says that this time of year is torture for a kid, as every time he walks into the grocery store it feels like they're trying to mess with him.

The Meltdown[]

In a flashback, the local weatherman said on New Years Eve that it was gonna be "T-Shirts and shorts weather". However it snowed 3 inches, and when people saw him at the grocery store, they let him know they weren't happy.

The Deep End[]

On page 24, it was mentioned that the Heffley's went to the grocery store and stocked up food for the camping trip.

Big Shot[]

In preparation of Field Day, Susan suggests Greg to go to the grocery store with her which he accepts but the real reason why he tags along was because he wanted to pick out food in the pantry which was full of weird products picked by Manny and awful healthy snacks. When they arrived there, Greg picked out a lot of his favorite snacks and picked out some healthy ones too but Susan made Greg put back everything because all of them were junk food and the products that Greg think are "healthy" are not.

Diper Överlöde[]

Diper Överlöde64

In Diper Överlöde, Löded Diper achieves a breakthrough in their quest to advertise their music when they manage to get Drew's brother to play a recording of Diper Överlöde at the deli counter in the grocery store in public for the first time. Unfortunately for them, the song only played for 30 seconds before the deli manager turned off the recording and fired Drew's brother.[2]

Drew's brother hasn't forgive Löded Diper about the incident since he wouldn't help them load their equipment without being paid the same amount at the deli counter.[3]
