The Goat Man is a legend about a man who is half-goat, half man that roams the area around the Woods. The story was first told to Greg by Rodrick. Greg and Rowley have argued about if the Goat Man is goat on the top and man on the bottom or vice versa. Rowley thinks it's split down the middle. Greg kind of agrees with him, but also thinks Rowley's version is dumb. It is mentioned in Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid: Rowley Jefferson's Journal as well, when Greg mentions about the Goat Man at a sleepover. In Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2021 film) on Halloween, when Greg and Rowley are trick-o-treating, they take a shortcut through the woods and Rowley says he thinks they have made a mistake as he's heard that is where the Goat Man lives.
