Rowan is a boy who is a werewolf, just like his family in Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories. He is loosely based on Rowley Jefferson.[1]
Rowan liked bringing his toys to school but was picked on for it due to his immaturity. One day in Mrs. Pennigton's class, he feels something unusual under his armpit and asks her to be excused to the bathroom. In the bathroom, he discovers his armpit growing and returned to class acting differently. When he went home, he went into his bathroom to pill out the hair with some tweezers only to find out his hair had grew even more.[2]
It got so out of control that he was covered in hair, he desperately attempted to use some hair remover and ended up passing out from the fumes. When he woke up, his parents revealed to him that he was a werewolf along with both parents. His parents explained to him they wanted to hide their true identity in order for him to live a happy life. Rowan asks his parents if werewolves eat people which ended their talk. The next day, Rowan came to school without shaving himself and this time the bullies left him alone, inspiring his parents to do the same.[3]
