Mikey is the only friend of Manny Heffley appearing in Hard Luck. Mikey wears a striped shirt, has a bit of hair and loves grape juice, giving him a juice ring around his lips in every appearance he makes (Greg describes it as making him seem Mikey has a goatee, despite only being a preschooler).
Greg Heffley admits that his social situation looks bad when even his little brother has more friends than him. Greg describes Mikey as a forty-year old man with a goatee due to the juice ring around his lips.
The only thing that Mikey and Manny ever seem to do is watch TV together, and Greg's not even completely sure if they've ever spoken a single word to each other.[1]
