Shelly is a girl who makes a minor appearance mainly in the first pages of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the online book. She also appears in the film adaptation and makes a brief cameo during the opening scene of the Rodrick Rules (2011 film).

Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]
In Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Shelly is briefly shown in a drawing depicting a girl (presumably her friend) asking Greg Heffley to pass her a note that reads "Greg is a dork."[1]
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010 film)[]
In the movie, Shelly is seen with Bryce Anderson when Greg and Rowley Jefferson tries to act cool in front of Bryce. She later surrounds Rowley with some other girls when he broke his arm. When Greg says that he was the one who broke Rowley's arm in an attempt to join in on Rowley's popularity, Shelly calls him a jerk.

In the online book, her role is unchanged, however the note was changed to "Greg is a goober."[2]
