Mr. Staples is the father of Billy Staples, Frank Heffley's middle school bully. When a bunch of Billy's victims told their parents about Billy, they all came and complained to Mr. Staples about his son's behavior. Hearing all the complaints, He made Billy publicly apologize to everyone involved. [1]
