The Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki staff team has been responsible for managing the encyclopedia body of Jeff Kinney's Diary of a Wimpy Kid book series since its creation on December 11, 2008. Our goal is to create a quality database for the series in its' entirety. All staff members are require to abide by the wiki guidelines. Listed below are the different levels of staff, including brief information and how to apply.
Staff
Bureaucrats and Administrators
Bureaucrats and administrators, also known as sysops, are the highest members of staff. Bureaucrats have the ability to promote members to staff and close staff applications, and both ranks can block users, move and delete pages, and rollback edits. On the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki, bureaucrats' names are typically highlighted in light green and gold, and administrators' names are typically highlighted in purple and blue.
Applications for bureaucrat rights are open to administrators only and are not available to the general public. Openings for adminship arise occasionally, though promotions may be given entirely at the bureaucrats' discretion. There is currently no way to apply to become an administrator, as all openings for staff are filled and applications are closed.
Content Moderators
Content moderators have rollback abilities, can edit fully protected pages and files, and are able to move, protect, delete, and patrol pages on the wiki with little restriction. They make sure articles are in good shape and are expected to be experienced and trusted members of the wiki. On the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki, moderators' names are typically highlighted in green.
There is currently no way to apply to become a content moderator, as all openings for staff are filled and applications are closed, though promotions may be given entirely at the the administrators and bureaucrats' discretion.
Thread Moderators
Thread moderators, also known as discussions moderators, have tools available to help them monitor various portions of the community where users can chat and comment. They are able to turn off replies on posts and remove or restore comments or threads by other users. Thread moderators make sure that everyone is having a good time and that the wiki is safe. On the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki, moderators' names are typically highlighted in green and turquoise.
There is currently no way to apply to become a thread moderator, as all openings for staff are filled and applications are closed, though promotions may be given entirely at the the administrators and bureaucrats' discretion.
Rollbacks
Users with rollback rights can revert multiple edits from the same user at once, which makes them effective at fighting against spam edits and undoing vandalism. To request rollback rights, click here.
Wiki Representatives
Wiki representatives are part-time FANDOM staff members assigned to the wiki to support the community and help it grow and thrive, as well as serving as a liaison with a direct line of contact to full-time FANDOM staff. There is no way to apply to become a wiki rep, as their hiring and placement is outside the scope of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki's mods and admins.

Bureaucrats

A bureaucrat is the only rank above admin (except council, which is across all FANDOM services) which make users Admins, Content Moderators, and/or Bureaucrats, and take it away if needed.

Becoming an administrator
For you to become an administrator, someone with bureaucrat access must make you one. On larger Wikias, there will usually be a community page for requests, with a page name such as "Diary of a Wimpy Kid Wiki:Requests for adminship". On a smaller wiki, you may simply ask on the community portal or ask a bureaucrat directly on his or her talk page.
If there are no active bureaucrats and you wish to become an administrator, please contact the community staff on the Central Wikia.
What should administrators not do?
Administrators should not use their administrator powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version he or she prefers in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. Administrator powers should be use to help keep the wiki clear of vandalism, spam, and users who make malicious edits, but not for simple disagreements between users acting in good faith. Ideally an admin shouldn't be considered "in charge". The ideal admin is just someone who is trusted to have a few extra buttons and to use them for the benefit of the Wikia community.
