Devon Kenneth Thomas "Dev" Bostick (born November 13, 1991) is a Canadian actor who played Rodrick Heffley in the first three Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies. He was replaced by Charlie Wright in the fourth film, The Long Haul due to being too old to play the role of Rodrick. He is also known for playing the lead role of Simon in the Atom Egoyan-directed film Adoration, Brent in Saw VI, and Jasper Jordan on The CW television series The 100 from 2014 to 2017.

Personal life[]

Bostick was born to his mother, Stephanie Gorin, who a casting director and his father, Joe Bostick, an actor as well as film fight coordinator. He was a student at the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Glasgow.

Career[]

Devon begins acting in 5th grade and had roles in the TV series Degrassi: The Next Generation and the film Citizen Duane. His film work has included roles in Godsend, Fugitive Pieces and The Stone Angel. In Adoration he plays Simon, a boy who is being raised by his uncle (played by Scott Speedman) after his parents' death. He is also in a fake movie called "Ice Fortress" in which the spoof trailer appeared online. His recent roles includes The Poet, a World War II drama starring Roy Scheider and Colm Feore, Saw VI as Brent and Assassin's Creed: Lineage as Ezio Auditore. He also played Erica's deceased brother Leo in CBC'S Being Erica,

Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]

Bostick played Rodrick in every Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies until Dog Days (2012). For The Long Haul (2017 film), he was replaced by Charlie Wright as he already outgrew the role.
