D.J. Harold is a tree actor who participates in the school play "The Wizard of Oz" in Diary of a Wimpy Kid and the online book. He is only named in the latter version.
History[]
Diary of a Wimpy Kid[]
D.J. attends the casting call for the play and is forced to sing "My Country 'Tis of Thee" along with the other boys so that Mrs. Norton can hear their singing voices. He ultimately signs up to be a tree, along with Greg Heffley and Archie Kelly.[1][2]
He and the other trees are later forced to learn a song, "We Three Trees", which Mrs. Norton had written for them to sing.[3]
During the play, D.J. and Archie sing the first few lines of the song before realizing Greg isn't singing. They stop singing as well, which Greg believes is because they think he knows something they don't. After Greg throws an apple at Patty Farrell, the other trees join in as well, which leads to the play being shut down after someone breaks Patty's glasses. [4][5]
Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010 film)[]
D.J. Harold is ranked 193rd place on the Popularity List. His role as a tree was replaced by Marty Porter.
