In the [[Diary of a Wimpy Kid|first book]], a boy playing is shown in a scene where he sings with Dorothy (played by [[Patty Farrell]]) and the boy playing Toto is sitting and reading comic books.

In [[Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Adventure]], he is shown to be one of the individuals who have been turned to stone after looking directly at [[Medusa]]. When [[Roland the Kind]] manage to unfreeze all of the stone statues trapped in Medusa's cave, Roland feels bad for the statues that Garg smashed beforehand, one of which seemed to be the Cowardly Lion.
