Amusementland is an amusement park on the Oceanside Pier that appeared in Dog Days and its movie adaption. The theme park contains the Cranium Shaker, Hell's Gate and the Haunted House of Horrors along with multiple roller coasters and an arcade room.

Greg Heffley wanted to go to the beach this summer because he is tall enough to finally ride the Cranium Shaker, one of Amusementland's rides.[1]
During the last day on the trip that Greg was present with the Jeffersons, they went to the boardwalk, where Greg spends most of his money to try and win a prize on the ring toss game. Rowley Jefferson watches Greg spend all his money and got his dad to buy the caterpillar that Greg was trying to win for ten dollars. They walked around the boardwalk until Greg went to a Souvenir Keychain Photos station and paid for a keychain with a cardboard cutout woman.
But the Jeffersons also got in the photo, which ruined Greg's picture. Greg was pretty upset, but then he notices the line for the Cranium Shaker was down to a few people, and spent his last money on a ticket. But the ride created the most upsetting experience for Greg, so much so he spent much of the remaining time resting on a bench while Rowley goes on a bunch of infantile rides. Greg manages to convince Robert to let them play a few games in the arcade room. Greg briefly showed Rowley his high score on Thunder Volt then baits a bunch of people with his dollar. But they were due to come back a while ago and the Jeffersons starts to look for them. They were about to call the police until they saw Greg arguing with a kid who was fast enough to avoid Greg's bait at Kiddie Land. Robert was furious and forced them back to their cabinet.[2]
