After-school naps are routine naps that Greg and Rodrick Heffley take as soon as they come home from school in The Last Straw and the online book. It is unknown if they still take naps or not.

When either Greg or Rodrick come home from school, they take a nap until dinnertime, which is when Frank wakes them up. Greg also states that he's worried about Frank banning their naps because he finds them annoying. In The Long Haul, Greg also claims he used to take an hour-long nap after lunch in preschool, and once he found out there are no naps in Kindy, he took it as a joke until he realized it was the truth and his energy was drained for most of the day.
